Ad Lib: Advocacy for LibrariesOctober 10, 2005 Listen, Libraries, and You Will Hear…The Americans for Libraries Council have kicked off their nationwide “listening tour” this past weekend, starting in the imminently news-friendly library of Salinas, CA. This is a wonderful potential for nation-wide advocacy for libraries. As one article reported:
I don’t know what all information ALC will collect as they go across the country, but it’s bound to be useful to emphasize the value of libraries. I have no information so far as to whether they will be stopping through Illinois or, if so, whether they’ll be in our neck of the woods.
