Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD)

A tangential post this one is, as Yoda would say. Most psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and counselors are familiar with the DSM, which is the bible of mental health. So, too, are librarians. In fact, the DSM is a staple in most reference collections. The DSM V is in the works, and it will be interesting to see if Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) will be profiled in it. I wonder how many information workers suffer from this “disorder”?
