Ask.com and Privacy

Ask.com shows its concern for searchers’ privacy by debuting AskEraser. If users turn on AskEraser, their queries will be deleted from Ask.com’s servers.

Expunged data includes search/text strings, Session IDs, and IP addresses.

A reminder that Ask.com usually ranks @ #4 in popularity . . . behing Google, Yahoo!, and LiveSearch.

But see this opinion piece: How Ask.com Could Overtake Google.
