Perennial SearcherMarch 5, 2009 Twitter as Search EngineMichael Arrington persuades us to think about Twitter as a search engine in this TechCrunch post. Twitter definitely gives us insight to the “Live Web” . . . perhaps even more so than blogsearch tools such as Technorati and Google Blog Search. Twitter posts (i.e., “tweets”) can definitely contain information about people, products, services, and more. Since Twitter launched in 2006, it has since developed Twitter Search. I like Arrington’s perspective and mindshift, and the same actually could be said about social bookmarking services such as delicious. Delicious, too, can be used as a search engine, and searchers can find gems in people’s collections of websites. posted by Brian at 4:20 pm | Comments (0)
